89th Anniversary BBQ & Dance – 8th July 2023 – “Who says we can’t dance?

Well because we were laying a floor at my sons, we arrive a bit late to find a decimated cake and the last knockings of the champagne (but it was good!).

And we know who ate it!

Janet was busy serving.

And we did think that champagne and cake might entice Jean Morse to end her isolation (actually things are a lot better but she’s still having a lot of tests and has been told to avoid infections).

John and Frank were manning the BBQ.

There was a card to the church to sign.

And then Queue up for food.

Well that went down very nicely – and “pud” to follow.

The band arrives.

And despite claims that we are all too old to dance we were enticed on to the floor by the music.

And Madison gave Busi dance lessons.

Or was it the other way round?

A little light on numbers perhaps, but a very enjoyable afternoon and evening. A big thanks to Tony as organiser, John for cooking the food to perfection, and Janet, Chris and Maureen who not only worked on the accompaniments to the meal but did most of the washing up as well. And that after a super-size Charity Lunch the previous day. Wonder-women!
